Lance Osborne joined the search industry in 1979, fresh out of the Canadian Navy where he served for three years as a navigation officer. He moved to Calgary from Toronto in 1981 to run a search firm that serviced the oil industry.

Lance later returned to Toronto and started Lannick Associates in 1985, creating a unique executive search service that specializes in the recruitment of chartered accountants and other senior-level finance professionals. Building on the success of this pioneering business, Lance co-founded Lannick Contract in 2004 with the vision of becoming a leader in the placement of mid- to senior-level professionals in contract roles. Today, Lannick Associates and Lannick Contract have evolved and merged into a single corporate entity called Lannick Recruitment.
